Michael Mwape, a cabinet maker from Chikowa on the road out to Chipata, was commissioned to make the worktops, linen and pharmacy cabinets, the doors under the worktops and a series of shelves throughout the clinic.  We had bought a lot of wood from the sawyers out in Sikin and Katemo villages, and we needed to take the wood out to Chikowa and discuss our requirements in detail.  The mosquitoe nets that Amanda Bruce-Miller had bought for the regional clinics were taken out Chikowa Clinic.  Nurse Christine and Traditional Birth Attendant Lilian had to go to Mambwe, so they joined us for part of the trip.
