13_Lid_inside

The inside of the main lid with part of a landscape attributed to François Boucher, Paris, 1750

The 'missing' paintwork at the top results from the addition to the width of the instrument when it was widened and modernised as a result of the ravalement possibly carried out by Jacques Barberini, c. 1770, Paris.
