12_Lid_flap_inside

The inside of the lid flap with part of a landscape attributed to François Boucher, Paris, 1750

The 'missing' paintwork at the top of the interior of the lid flap results from the addition to the width of the instrument when it was widened and modernised as a result of the ravalement possibly carried out by Jacques Barberini, c. 1770, Paris.
