A clamping extravaganza!!
Here the the bentside has been cut to length, mitred at its ends and glued in place clamping it only to the bentside liner. Clamping it only to the bentside liner was made possible by using the extension of the lower outer moulding above the chestnut strip to self-clamp the lower edge. The dark strip of chestnut can be seen near the middle of the photograph along the lower edge of the main part of the bentside. The rest of the lower outside case mouldings, all of them straight and therefore relatively easy to clamp, have all been glued in place in a major clamping extravaganza requiring a considerable number of clamps.
The next operation was to glue the straight sides in place using the same method used above to attach the bentside.
