Early Stringed Keyboard Organology and

The History of Early Keyboard Instruments,

          From 1988 until March 2002, I was a Lecturer and Member of the Music Faculty at the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh.  In March 2002 I was promoted to the position of Reader in the Faculty of Music.  These positions have involved teaching courses in Early Keyboard Organology and the History of Early Keyboard Instruments, assisting with undergraduate Project Weeks at the Russell Collection, writing a course in tuning and temperament for the Scottish NetMuse high-speed network, postgraduate supervision, and many and varied other duties.
