During the course of the work over a period of almost 5 months we got to know the workmen, their personalities, quirks, strong points and weak points rather well.  Generally they were extremely nice and extremely hard working.  But there were exceptions and we also had to fire and dismiss some of those who worked for us.  This was sometimes a very difficult and emotionally-trying experience.  We made some very good friends and we're really looking forward to going back to Mfuwe to meet up with as many of them as we can in 2008.
