The lid of the Franco-Flemish harpsichord has now been cleaned, but not yet restored. The paintings 1-11 on the outside of the lid have been attributed to François Boucher. The interior lid painting must date to the initial grand ravalement of the instrument in Paris 1750 and is thought to be a rare example of a Boucher landscape. |
